Here we are at the beginning of another presidential election. I am so fearful Obama will be re-elected. I do not see anyone in the line up that are strong enough to carry the vote and the money from the Obama camp.

I think Herman Cain would be a good campaigner against Obama and he is an excellent speaker as well as debater but personally, I don't think the Republicans are behind him. I would vote for him.

I feel like the Republican Party is in a mess. They don't seem to have all their ducks in a row. It was a bad day when Gingrich struck out against Paul Ryan and verbally dissected his health plan. There are better methods to disagree, but this was not the way. This gives excellent fodder to the Dems to throw out against us. How stupid was that.........I wouldn't have voted for Gingrich anyhow, but my husband liked him. I think he has shot himself in the foot and doesn't have a change now. His time has passed.

With the decision of Obama today regarding the borders in Israel and Egypt we know we are in for many changes with negative effects to our country. The friendships we have built and the many leaders who had have respect for our country will no longer be available as they once were. It is almost like Obama is out to destroy America.

I recently pre-review a video of the interview of President Obama by Bret Baier on FoxNews today (you can see it at this link). The broadcast is to be view in 45 minutes, but already from viewing this clip provided by Fox I am fit to be tied. I was hoping for something good since President Obama consented to be interviewed by Bret on FoxNews - who would have thought!!! And, I was hoping there would be no shinnegans but no way! Playing it straight was too much to hope for - he just wanted to have a platform of the conservatives and also the liberals who are tired of the bias in the media. I'm not sure what my attitude will be after listening to the complete interview, but I'm thinking maybe I'll be taking a couple of deep breathing breaths to calm down my blood pressure!!

After viewing this short clip I am wondering whether you could ever imagine in your life time our representatives are put in the position to vote for a bill without ever seeing it or knowing what is in it. Then to have the President say - if you vote no you do not ever want changes, and yes, you agree to everything - without any reservations for either decision! This is ridiculous - if I understand President Obama correctly - voting NO translates to never ever making changes to Healthcare at all - Yes, means you do want changes - President Obama's changes. To make a proclamation of that difference is obscene. Of course there are definitely many Representatives and Senators who want to make our Healthcare system better, but not at the cost or acceptance of some of the programs President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are offering. They are not covering every American and they are jeopardising Medicare and making it worse that ever for seniors to get help - - how does that justify improving Healthcare. This president of ours is suppose to be "smart" well, he may be book smart but he is common sense stupid.

Government take over by Reconciliation

The most recent Big Top ring side circus which was held on Thursday is all but over. All that is left is the conniving without compromise. Personally, I think the big show titled the Health Care Summit was made up of subliminal gestures and overtones.

We did learn a couple of new things about President Obama's personality. First one is a gesture which determines he is gross and lacks any table manners or sophistication as a United States President. As someone was speaking, President Obama casually maybe without his conscious awareness picked his nose and rolled up his "boogers" and threw them on the table. The next abhorrent act happened during Senator McCain's appointed time to speak, when midway through President Obama announced smugly to Senator John McCain that the election was over and that he, Barack Obama, was the President, in addition he repeated this announcement several times throughout the subliminal meeting to notify to all the really intelligent people they must realize he, President Obama, could talk all he wanted and he didn't give a hoot about the Republicans or their opinions and had no desire for the summit to be handled in a fair and rational manner. Words spoken with subliminal meanings. All Hail to Caesar!!!

We predicted beforehand this summit was to be an "Obama Circus Festival." He was forced into this meeting by the polls - he mentioned that there would be an election to dictate what the people wanted if the Republicans didn't fess up to his ideas, but how stupid is that - Democrats have already lost three elections to Republicans.

President Obama is a smug, ego maniac, who may have attended Harvard, but has absolutely no common sense commanding a country. I thought President Clinton was a smug Democrat, but Clinton did work with the Republicans to pass bills. He and Newt Gingrich developed a working relationship and friendship of respect. As I reflected on President Obama's time in office, I have never seen him on friendly terms with any Republican. He stands alone. He does not know how to compromise or work with the other side. Certainly, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid don't give a hoot either, so the three of them will go down in history as the Three Stooges of the Democratic party losing a battle of horrible health care demagoguery, high unemployment and an economy that is owned by foreign countries. What a legacy.

Finally, in view of the tragic events happening in our world today specifically today and the earthquake in Chile and the possibility of tsunamis in Hawaii and the Pacific coastline of the United States, as a Christian nation, we would expect our President as all our previous Presidents have to offer a prayer for the country of Chile in his report to the country today. But no he did not. He did say "he sends our hearts" but stopped short of offering our prayers. I was shocked and perplexed. Never have I experienced any president as long as I have been aware who has not called on a nation to pray or to offer his own prayers for the trials of a country.

We need to put our hands together and say some prayers and let President Obama know he is moving in the wrong direction. We must bring faith, hope and kindness back to our country as our founding fathers wants for our United States of American, One Nation UNDER GOD!!!

The meeting

"You're bill is unpopular with the American people" is what the Republicans should say to President Obama at the start of the heath care meeting. If the Republicans decided to argue they will lose right out of the gate. They must make it simple, not whiny and defensive and in attack mode. This meeting is a set up by the Obama administration. He knows his image looks bad for he and his Democratic followers, He has even invited the media to be present - wow! Seems very suspicious to me. The president must have something up his sleeve. The Republicans have to be wise men and be wary of President Obama and his all of the sudden peace offering. Don't forget, he wants to come out of the meetings on top, he will maneuver, manipulate and lie to get what he wants - to make it all look good for him. Forget changing any bill that has been written already, nothing will change regardless of what the Republicans bring to the table.

I am amazed at the comments of individuals who give President Obama high points as a good speaker. Please! Wondering, is there a list for how to give a good speech? If not, I can give a couple. I would state that my president should have good grammar and know how to punctuate and pronounce words appropriate, err, aaa, duh, wanna, etc, are not good grammar words. Once in a while these errors can be over looked but President Obama is consistently inserting many hesitating pauses. Oh, you say you never noticed, well, I guess I am so bored listening to him speak these things just seem to jump out and grab me. Also, the monotone range of his voice is annoying, point in fact, the decline of his voice which comes to a sudden halt at the ending of his sentence as been a center of comedy out takes. These are only a couple of points but it isn't fair to not mention where his purpose is centered - it is centered on "I." Wondering if anyone counted how many times he said "I" in his State of the Union speech. It IS all about him, not about our country or our people.

It is scary thinking if President is deliberately attempting to sell out our country. He has increased our spending budget beyond anything ever experience in the history of our country - ever. And, all the while he is still blaming President Bush for programs which were totally brought about by the Democrats of which Obama was a part of - how quickly they forget!!! Obama has messed around with the drug program for Seniors that Bush put into effect at half the cost the Democrats wanted and this is a program necessary for Seniors and a program they use. Guess what - the Seniors are screwed again! Every bill for spending or giving away our money is not being justified by any income. We'll owe the Russians and Chinese more in interest than can be imagined. He has bragged about jobs, jobs, and more jobs in his budget - I wonder if my son sent his application in to President Obama he could help him out since he's lost his job, oh yeah, I have a cousin with two children, one requiring special health care - he has been looking for a job for over six months. Personally, I believe that in the end President Obama doesn't give a hoot about me and my family.

Additionally, President Obama's lack of common sense as he expresses his opinion about the 9/11 terrorists and their outcome could result in surprising positive results for these terrorists. And our president is a Constitutional scholar??? No common sense whatsoever! It seems as though many of our Republicans and Democrats are jumping on the band wagon to keep the 9/11 trials out of New York City. Thank goodness! We can appreciate their courage to step out against the President's and the Attorney General's strong arm.

I guess I will be an un-informed "conservative chicken" tonight because I cannot listen to his State of Address. I know it is my responsibility to be informed, but why should I because he lies, everything he promises is a boldface lie, perhaps it is his dream that goes up in smoke once the words come out of his mouth. I know all politicians exaggerate their ideas and many are professionals at getting us to believe what they say. But, this guy is an amazing falsehood tale telling human being. I am not watching the State of the Union speech simply so my blood pressure doesn't go through the roof. I know I would be yelling at the TV, so I am protecting my health - thank God I can at least be sure that I still have my health care coverage today ---- at least so far ----and knowing the infamious Obamacare hasn't changed anything. I do have a few ailments that are borderline and by some individual's perception knowing the plug could be pulled by Obamacare I could be history if some of my ailments took a turn for the worse. What a horrible thought!!!

I can't stand his arrogant snobbish attitude. More often than not I am seeing in the news the pose with his head tilted back, chin raised, eyes looking down his nose at the world, so I am sure my opinion of this Obama snob look is now a recognized banner. Who is he? He hasn't met the standard of life, experience, and wear and tear to even be eligible for the "holier than thou" statue.

One bright star to come from this State of the Union event will be the recognition of the two soldiers from Fort Hood. It's about time President Obama did something special for these two soldiers. He is so out of it, no experience in life, never owning or running a business or accomplishing anything in the business world, hanging around with totally very liberal individuals and not having any experience with military life - he doesn't get it, and he wouldn't even have an inkling about the life of a military family. Oh, I know, Michelle has buddied up to the military families and made promises. If she donated some of her expensive clothing or the cost of that clothing and accessories to the wives and children who have lost their loved ones in the war -that would be worthy of recognition of understanding their grief and loss - but talk is cheap, doing something without the world knowing is humbling, and I doubt that either Michelle or President Obama have ever done anything at all without making a big deal out of it.

I will watch Fox news tomorrow and follow the Tweets for the highlights and lowlights of tonight's fiasco. I'd rather save my health by not listening than put myself through the horror of hearing his voice, and please, if he didn't have his teleprompters he couldn't utter a complete thought. Having notes to refer to is one thing but the back and forth motion of his face is not the action of a good communicator. He's good at shouting out negative motivating speeches and sermons - sometimes - but other than that, he receives a D from me for his communicating skills.

I'll be relaxing and watching a good movie with a positive outcome, not the horror movie I know will come from tonight's State of the Union speech.

Chris Dodd - I would have never thought!

I've been yammering on about him for months since the deal about Countrywide Mortgage affair came out and the golden deal they cut with him. Now we hear he will not run for re-election for his Senate seat. Hmmm! I guess he can take the real heat - or he must be smarter than I might give him credit for - regardless, I am thrilled. Our senators and representatives should be HELD to a higher standard but they are not - they think they can get away with anything and unfortunately, they do - - maybe, until now!

It is a result of the electronic age of communication that we have won this particular battle. Computers and all the hand held devices people have that get the news out of all sorts can get a good group together. We have won this battle, but we must not give up and continue to gather and revolt. It's not over.

We have a president and a first lady who have "bigger you know what" than the Clintons - and you all know they were pretty good at getting away with stuff. Today on Fox News they reported on two ads which the President and the First Lady appeared. He was captured although it was stated by the White House without approval - in a fashion ad. First Lady Michelle appeared on her own with Oprah and other black starts for PETA.

These two will do whatever they want without respect for this country. It is their ballgame and they will do it their way and who is going to stop them.

I do not see any Conservative or Republican at this time who could sweep the vote from Obama. I know we have plenty of time or do we? There are good folks out there who would run a good race, but beat Obama, I dunno!

For today, I am very thankful Christ Dodd is getting out!

Another Obama photo op

This morning while watching Fox News I experienced a disgusting emotion that I haven't felt in a very long time. As I relive the scene in my mind I am filled with a sickly pain in my stomach. President Obama was presiding at the return of one of our soldiers who had been killed in Afghanistan. He was lined up with our honorable soldiers at attention, made the salute as the flagged draped coffin was brought out of the air craft and carried away. He marched in line with the soldiers behind the coffin as the family followed several yards away.

He was out of place. I thought it would have been more appropriate for him to walk with the family and show compassion to them. But, no! He had to be a big show off. He has such a huge ego and lacks humility for what it takes to be a great leader. He was never a soldier nor has he ever fought in a war. He may be our Commander in Chief, but as a mother of a deceased soldier and also of a soldier who is now serving in the Army, I wouldn't want him to preside at any event having to do my military person's return home.

President Obama's presence and behavior to me seemed more appropriate as a photo op.

Freedom of Speech and a physicians reaction

I am a Fox News watcher. My favorite show is Bret Baier especially when Charles Krauthammer is on the panel. When I wake up in the morning, after I pour my cup of coffee I turn on the TV to the early morning news on Fox with Bill Hemmer.

I've watched the other news channels, CNN actually, never ever MSNBC now but I did many years ago when it was a brand new channel. There are several excellent news reporters on CNN in the morning especially Robin and Heidi Collins, both are terrific.

My greatest concern which is being reported now is the comments being made from people in the Obama administration and from President Obama himself about Fox News. Also, another report was mentioned about the government controlling the Internet. This is scary! I wonder if these controls are in the mindset of Obama to control what is said and who ever differentiates from his opinion they will be ruined, run out of town, and shut down. President Obama's tactics are so not far off from the ruler in Venezuela, Hugo Chavez. He shut down all but one broadcast station, but it may be down now because he was threatening to do so. The people who worked for that station talked against Chavez. There is no freedom there. Are we in for the same?

Opinions have been made that once people begin to see this conniving side of Obama, people would change their mind about his character. His character is now a switch from the man who swore he was for bringing people together from all sides of the political spectrum, but in truth, behind closed doors and among his cohorts he talks a different talk. The pleasant speaking, smiling, easy sense of humor is changed into a vile and distasteful dictator. We have been given a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde as a president, with side kicks who come with a point of view not for a Democracy but a Dictatorship.

I am fearful today as I write my opinion because we know they are previewing blogs, twitter, and other social networks. I do not approve of the government controlling the Internet - guidelines, perhaps but I don't want their hand in it - at least not the Obama Administration, or really any government department.

Regarding the subject of a physician's reaction, I recently asked a dear friend who has been a physician for a long time his opinion about the meeting at the White House with the doctors and President Obama. I can't mention what he said but will say his verbal expression was shocking. I do know for a fact what he, as an excellent physician wants for his patients is definitely not what President Obama is preaching that doctors are asking. It would be interesting to know who President Obama is talking to in the health care industry.

I hope the Republicans will be elected back as a solid balance in the Congress and in the White House and can overturn this pile of crap we've been forced to accept as law. We need a strong leader like Newt Gingrich was back in the 90s.

Let's hope and pray! The Democrats have been in control too long. And, I think many have forgotten they were there in numbers when President Bush was in office. Maybe, this time will be their time out!

Ouch! I gave myself a headache as I responded very verbally and loudly with my disdain and shock after hearing the news on Fox News this morning on the Bill Hemmer Morning Show. Good grief!

Then, after taking a couple of low grade aspirin I decided to check out my favorite blogs, Legal Insurrection (here) and the Professor put it all into context - although his article didn't relieve the pain of the shock which resulted in a huge headache.

I've come to the conclusion which is probably a "duh" statement anyhow - the Nobel Peace Prize committee is comprised of mostly liberals. Why wouldn't they award the prize to Ronald Reagan for the Berlin Wall coming down? Yet, they gave it to Jimmy Carter and major green hypocrite Al Gore. I dunno!

Our country is going to pot big time, and the guy in the White House is getting awards, how ironic is that?

I can't imagine my political world without Charles Krauthammer's opinion page first and foremost my very favorite. Don't want to miss him on Fox News in the afternoon with Bret Bauer and have to have my Sunday fix of Charles column in the Viewpoint section of the newspaper. Our President is so full of himself, in his mind he would rather receive all the glory than do the right thing for our country at the right time. Maybe he just doesn't know any better. I've said all along, and I keep saying it to the point I know my husband is sick of hearing it, the man is just not qualified to be President. Why is he there? Why can't we get him out of there before he absolutely ruins the USA? The Dems wanted to impeach George Bush for much less of nothing. But, this guy is really stupid!!!!

He said, she said! Why do the liberals remind me of school children? When they get caught with their hands in the cookie jars or when their sinning words have brought them to their knees, they can't take the heat and they whine. I wonder if Yale Law School has a class in "Who to Blame When You Fail?" If there was such as class, Van Jones grade would have been an A! And you know, it's always the big bad conservatives who made them do it or "they were out to get me." Geez, how can a guy who graduated from Yale Law School actually think we will buy the age old kiddy excuse of "I didn't know what I was reading?" He must think we are stupid! Oh, no, he thinks by blaming the Republican smear campaign he will be saved!!!! Hillary Clinton blamed the Republicans for years as her husband's sexual involvements were hung out to dry on the clothesline of political scrutiny all in public view, all that dirty laundry. There wasn't a Republican involved with Clinton, but the Republicans got blamed then too.

Van Jones is gone from sight now, or is he? I read he will still be involved in the White House doing something, not a czar though, but I wonder what he will be doing. The next big question I have is do the Republicans have enough power to bring the remainder of President Obama's Czars on the carpet and vetted as they should have been in the first place? What is next?

It's like a deliciously divine mysterious soap opera. We have no clue who will be next on the chopping block and what sin will be divulged. Do morals matter? It's been so long since someone has actually been held accountable for their ill deeds.

I can't wait for the next chapter of "Obama and His Czars" - how about you?

Van Jones resigned!

Before the coffee was ready and I settled down for the morning news in the den, I checked Drudgereport just to have a heads up on what what's happening. We usually watch CBS on Sunday, the Sunday Morning Show which generally isn't political although rarely they throw in some Democratic stuff. The BIG headline on Drudge was OUT! (link it here). I couldn't believe my eyes. Seriously, I thought he would not be asked to leave nor would he resign on the basis of principle.

The report states that President Obama did not ask him to resign but he did so on his own because of all the controversy, and yet, he does seem to blame the Republicans. When I watched the video of Van Jones talking to the students at Berkeley and he said that Republicans are "a--holes" I thought "he's referring to me, my family and my friends!" because I am a Republican and he doesn't even know me. HE doesn't know where I came from, my background, my beliefs, but I and all Republicans are judged this man in that one off the wall comment to the group of students and what does he know. He didn't think what the back lash would be and that his words would haunt him for the rest of his life. His attitude and opinion has ruined any chances of a political future for him. He was full of himself in front of the students as they laughed in unison with his comment, but I wonder how many there knew his words would bring him down.

There's no doubt each and everyone of us have said off the wall comments about those we disagree with, but generally we have sense enough not to be in a public place being videotaped. Hopefully, something good will come out of this. The Republicans have begun to question the validity of the Czars - I say, its about time. Who are all these Czars? And their backgrounds? If someone with the likes of Van Jones' background can make it into the White House then who else has President Obama brought with him. Where are they "housing" these Czars? I've heard they've had to build a special office unit for them, gee whiz, there's goes the budget, oh wait a minute, what budget? Where would he get the money for add new offices for the Czars anyhow?

The election of President Barrack Obama has brought excitement and controversy to the extend we have never seen before. It isn't over yet!

The expressions on President Obama's face toward the end of his speech seemed to show some agitation with those who disagree with "any" discussion or idea of His or the Democrat's issues. I take from this speech ultimately that he is pointing fingers at those Americans who are now speaking up against his healthcare issures - and he is making faces like he don't like anyone going against what he wants even though at the start of the speech he makes it sound all lovey dovey and let's get together but ends with only his way!!! Or, am I taking this all out of context? I don't think so!

Who woulda thunk???? I guess I will get reported to the government email fishy list for saying what I'm going to say! Our government administration is behaving like a bunch of spoiled brats - they need to grown up. If you can't take the heat then get out of the kitchen! I thought we had the right to assemble and let our voices be heard. I guess the politicians are a little shocked we don't agree with them. Once they get out of Washington and actually get a piece of the action of the real voters, now they are learning what we want - why doesn't President Obama get that!!! We certainly have to listen to your speeches. We have to digest what you say and try to disseminate right from wrong - truths from lies, or just a lot of bologna.

I put up with listening to the Democrats harass the Republicans when the Republicans were the majority until I vomited. I thought it was disgusting how they maligned President Bush, and now Sarah Palin - but like spoiled children, it's really difficult to swallow when it's your turn to get the negative reaction - and really hear how the voters feel!

By the way, I am not a Rush Limbaugh follower. I may listen to Fox Network but I am not a groupie for any news reporter or radio star host, except for possibly Charles Krauthammer. I would enjoy seeing Charles and President Obama go head to head in a discussion. President Obama and any one of his staffers would be stammering all over the floor - struggling to find the teleprompter!!!

As if the news couldn't get any more depressing or shocking, the issue with Professor Gates and the Cambridge Police Department seemed to take the trophy for Thoughtless Criticism. Oh, but wait, it gets better - or worse however you want to look at it - when asked a question regarding the confrontation between Gates and the Police, our President Obama response was that the police department's action was stupid. Way to go Prez!!! It doesn't look good when a president speaks out with a bias concerning a public issue he knows nothing about. Of course, my common sense immediately turns negative and realizes immediately its becoming a racial issue. Does our President Obama have a racial chip on his shoulder? Does Professor Gates have a racial chip on his shoulder? If this is the case, then we'll never ever have anything near equality in our country because we'll forever we walking on our tippy toes trying not to offend anyone and someone will get off scott free when they are guilty.

Maybe you saw it coming, maybe you knew it was inevitable, but I am so naive about this stuff. I believed Obama's "Change" proclamation for equality for politics (which has been all but blown out of the water and running down the drain) and "hope" for unity of the differences between the human races but now I know his prima donna was nothing more than fluffy words of deceit.

What does this do for our relationship as far as racial problems are concerned? In my opinion, President Obama has made it worse and created a huge pothole between what could have been and what is, and maybe will be. I have a few friends who warned me this would happen, but I was not brought up to think in that way. I don't want there to be division or skepticism. I would presume to have a president who brings the country together not one who deliberately presents the issue in the manner that President Obama did to divide the country. President Obama is certainly very self-assured that he is untouchable and his racial attitude for Professor Gates and against the police department will be accepted, although he has now retracted the "meaning" of his words and probably hoping no one observed his bias. There are plenty of great politicians of Barack Obama's race who have never made an issue of the color of their skin. They have served our country with pride and grace and honor.

It's too late for President Obama to pick up the pieces of his few words of dissent and make it all better. Having a beer with the arresting police officer at the White House will never put it to rest.

Todd on Pope Obama's visit

I have been preoccupied with the economy more specific my family's economy and other matters. I had forgotten about the protocol of visiting dignitaries giving gifts to those they visited, such as President and Mrs. Obama visiting Pope Benedict last week.

As I was catching up on some of my blog reading I came across one of my Catholic blogger and I noticed the guest writer had written an article titled "Todd on Pope Obama Meeting" and as I read the title I supposed I gasped somewhat, then chuckled as I regained consciousness. It is a must read and you may find this article at this link.

I would like to include here before sending you off to the original text to give you just a taste of the article ----

"In their short meeting the Pope was given a gift from the Obama family of a toy model of Air Force One airplane, a jigsaw puzzle picture of the First Family and a collection of DVDs. (Stigmata, Cider House Rules, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Mad Max and copies of all Mel Gibson's films) The President had the opportunity to convey a special relic of Blessed Edward Kennedy and an autographed photograph of America's famous Catholic: Nancy Pelosi."

I am a very naive person and yet I found this article first shockingly morose and I in a stupefied state then realizing the author was playing a game of being sarcastic. There are many things I don't know about the Catholic Church sadly admitting this as being a lifelong Catholic. And yet, I would believe anything someone would write as written in the environment of the author of this article. I suppose the belief that President Obama just might do this stems from the "gifts" President Obama gave the Queen of England. Although, I couldn't imagine he would give the photo of Nancy Pelosi or a toy model of Air Force One, and I prayed "Please don't let it be so."

Butt watchers and Obama is a better Catholic than Pope

I find it quite amusing this morning as I read the blogs and headline news in several publication that both the female butt incident involving our President and the French president is still quite active as well as the insult to Pope Benedict and Catholics.

With regard to the Butt Watchers, there is a second photo which the press has made out to be a part of the Butt Watchers Photo Gallery which includes our President and the French President with the Italian President in the photo, but unfortunately for the Italian he was not involved in the Butt Watcher sequence. I am sure he felt left out afterwards when he realized what was going on! Does this mean the media's sacred infatuation with Obama is over and they've move on to more interesting situations with President Obama? Gee, I wonder what they failed to share from the past?

I almost fainted when I heard on Fox News yesterday afternoon that Maryland's Lt. Governor Townsend (daughter of Robert Kennedy) thinks President Obama is more of a Catholic than Pope Benedict! I've been a Catholic all my life and when I heard that statement I wondered which part of the Catholic Church she belongs to or has she started one that Barack has joined and has become the messiah? That would put to rest all the rumors of President Obama's supreme aura. We have gone from a Senator who sat in the Church listening to his pastor preach about the horrors of the United States and blame the white people and Jewish people for everything wrong in this world to that same Senator trying to make us believe he never heard the pastor preach any violent words. Now all of the sudden as President he has become a more Holier than Thou Catholic! Holy Cow! My dad would be rolling over in his grave! That's ten Our Fathers and ten Hail Marys.

Maybe we're in for a more interesting news reporting year than we expected since these Obama stimuli's are putting a strain on the world calculators and the totals aren't matching up. Butt Watching and Obama's promise to Pope Benedict to lower the abortion rate in the United States may not not be the ideal topics in the same sentence but both are interesting. Let's hope that President Obama wasn't lying to Pope Benedict about the abortion issue or his penance will be more than ten Our Father's and ten Hail Marys. Don't get me wrong, I'm not judging, just a Catholic observer voicing an opinion.

This is our President's Evil Eye as has been noticed most recently by reporters. Last week it was revealed by the same that the Honeymoon between the reporters and the President was over. And, in particular, Major Garrett, the White House Fox Reporter, mentioned that he was given the "evil eye" because of his persistent questioning of a topic the President refused to completely answer. President Obama has a bad habit or maybe a slick quality of skirting or avoiding the questions without any judgement by the reporters. Thank goodness, maybe now we are going to see some real and complete questioning by the press.

I was listening to Glenn Beck just few minutes ago and he was talking about the energy bill which the House is suppose to sign today. He had two guest who discussed the pitfalls and cost to the average family which would amount into the thousands annually. This is another one of those Obama bills that no one has time to read. Again, our politicians don't know what they are signing, but they probably will anyhow. There's still time to let them know Do Not Sign the Clean Energy Bill. Glenn Beck and the Heritage Foundation spokesman who appeared on the program, questioned the effects of the The American Clean Energy and Security Act, better known as the Waxman-Markey bill, and whether it would really be cost effective and would if actually cut greenhouse-gas while promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency. It is labeled a Cap and Trade Bill, but Glenn Beck called it a Cap and Tax. Just another Tax bill so says Glenn Beck.

The measure, which is likely to have a tough go in the Senate, is a linchpin of Obama's first-year agenda. A victory would give the White House momentum going into a vote on health care later this summer. See more on Politico here.

A stylist dresser - my dream come true!

Checking in on Drudgereport.com this morning, on the top left half of the page was this photo of First Lady Obama walking her dog and with the photo was this headline "Fashion World Honor Michelle Obama."

I was in a state of awe as I realized seeing her in this sporty attire I fit right in and could be proclaimed as an honorary fashion setter - her outfit is so.......................common, and I am a common woman. It's wonderful to realize the Paris crowd is recognizing the down to earth woman of the world now - especially now that our First Lady has been chosen for this prestigious honor. I wonder where she bought this short outfit and her shoes too?

I guess I am being a wee bit catty and sarcastic about all of this silly fashion hoop-la, but I just don't get it. It must be the age of youth because I can't remember any first lady receiving so much fashion recognition since Jacquline Kennedy and she certainly had a much better and classy style about her than Michelle Obama.

The most recent fashion setter in the White House would have been Condoleezza Rice - she is to be admired. In fact, last year she was afforded the Glamour Award for 2008 (here's the link) Our Secretary of State always dressed classy and looked great. She had excellent takes in styles and a great figure.

This is what I believe is a Classy Fashion Setter. Although, Condoleezza received many fashion awards, I had never heard about them until I started doing the research on the blog. I guess because she was a member of the Bush administration she didn't receive the publicity she so well deserved.

Once upon a time, which is our lifetime now - there is a beautiful lady who has a gorgeous family. She is devoted to her husband and her family. She is a true Modern Woman in every sense of the word. She is also a very successful Governor of a large state in the United States.

Unfortunately as does happen in ALL families there are those situations that happen that kids do, and good parents are there to help out. I know, I'm one of those parents. I can tell you depressing stories about parents I know who humiliate their kids and it affects them their who life, but for those of us, who are there beside our children and their babies, we wear a badge of faithfulness and true to heart and soul and God. This Lady Sarah loves her family enough to do anything to protect them and keep them safe - all the time while bring in the bacon and with no regrets. She's a Saint and a Lady.

But, as it all things in life there are the negative jerks who know how to really open their big mouths and insert their crappy shoes and sprew the crappiest of crap because they have no brains. In this situation, this individual probably doesn't know what respect is or how to treat a lady - or even probably even knows what a lady is. It has become obvious in some of the blogs that I'm reading now, the best we conservatives can do is not to mention his name, or give him credit for anything. It is not in the nature of Conservatives to be vindictive like the Liberals, we are too considerate. So, for now, I say, Dave who? and I found a couple of images of which are the likeness of Dave who? Ah yeah, I've heard a saying in my old lifetime - "all dogs have their day" - Dave who? may think it's funny now, but someday this deed of his will come back to haunt him and he will know and understand how low down his humor is!

The Democrats have threatened Socialistic type medicine since Hilliary made her grandstand play when Bill became President. If that type of medical care was an issue before Clinton's terms in office I am not aware but I can't forget the quick exit Hilliary made with her ideas.

We have a good insurance company, one which we pay dearly for, but it works for us. Can Obama's plan offer something better? How much better will it work and will it be like Medicare and Medicaid with all the problems?

It is difficult to realize that our choices are being taken away from us. Where is the outrage or does the majority of masses have their heads buried in the sand or are they just ignorant of what's happening?

A couple of weeks ago we took a vacation from watching the news. Everything we heard was so outrageous I couldn't handle it. Since we've returned to our regular viewing and reading the newspapers - our local and the Wall Street Journal - I am in a worse state of being dumbfounded and shocked. Everyday there is something new and beyond belief which this Obama administration is doing and getting away with, I can't believe there is no outrage. Are the American people so busy in their own worlds that they cannot understand the changes that are happening to our country?

In the past, I have found fault and difference with the other party not my choice in office in Washington and locally, I have screamed at the TV when they speak, or totally turn it off. Today, there's no way to ignore the methods the Democrats are using and the stupidity which they are displaying in their circus approach to issues at hand.

I have shared two articles today and yesterday which I thought explained more appropriately than I could the issues of Obama and the administration. I hope you have found these articles as enlightening as I have. People, I don't know what we can do except to be certain we become active for our party in the 2010 and 2012 election. I watched only a partial part of the speech Newt gave to the Republican Party a couple nights back. He is articulate (certainly doesn't need a teleprompter), forceful, and interesting. There are several "good guys" in the Republican Party who have the criteria to run for office, but they don't have the pzazz I think we need to win back the vote. We have to have a group of candidates who will knock the voters off their chairs and make them take notice.

We cannot continue to watch our country go down the cesspool of socialism and as long as the Democrats are in control we will only dig deeper into doo-doo!

A Welcomed Flash from the Past

Seeing the news reports of the former President George Bush on the Fox Network this morning was reassuring and heartwarming. I've needed a Classy Act fix and it came across the airwaves today. I appreciate his candor and calmness in handling the insults and callous comments by President Obama and the White House staff.

President Obama displays a negative aspect to his personality to be so cruel in his attitude and words toward a previous president. As reported many times, it is a courtesy to not speak ill of a previous president, but President Obama has broken all the rules. President Obama's lack of judgement for proper protocol is a good example of lack of class and sensibility.

We have a prime example of President Obama's irresponsibility for protocol when we think about the gift he gave the Queen. If you have visited any of our President's Libraries or Museums you realize the value of the gifts that are exchanged by the heads of states of other countries. Thinking of the gifts I have seen displayed at the Eisenhower and Reagan Libraries, I certainly never saw anything as cheap as an iPod, meaning, the gifts received not only had material value beyond the cost of an iPod plus the gift was a representation of a country. I certainly don't think a recording of President Obama's speeches would be of any real value to the Queen, although, that is just my humble opinion.

I am anxious to visit George W. Bush's library when it is completed in Dallas, Texas. I will look specifically for the gifts that were given to he and Laura by the other heads of countries.

The campaign promises of change by then Senator Obama have certainly come full circle. His nomination of a Hispanic Woman to the Supreme Court is a good thing on the surface, but to note that she is regarded of a woman who is ready to continue with a practice of reverse discrimination as per her ruling with regard to the white Firemen in New Haven, Conn. With Obama's election to President, we have to content with a government ruled by hypocrites. Our country will never survive - we have worked hard to screen out those who do not believe in Inalienable Rights for all citizens and now it seems we are almost back to ground zero starting all over. Equality will be in the eye's of the beholder or those in the pockets of President Obama and his staff of contributers.

In another news report, a reporter wrote today on the Black Panther court judgement which was overturned and said if the persons involved had been the Klu Klux Klan in dress present at a voting precinct - there would be no pardons. If you were approached by an individual swinging a night stick as you were entering the voting place, wouldn't you feel intimidated or possibly be frightened - I know I would! My dear friend "A" shared her thoughts with me before the election outcome was known that she feared this stirring of modern day discrimination would happen. She was right. There are many I know who do not see the color of the skin or hear the accent in the voice, but look for kindness and generosity and ability to fulfill what they are required, nothing more than I expect from myself daily.

Yes, marvelous isn't it - President Obama is here in Las Vegas, the entertainment center of the universe, the place he practically ruined with one stupid comment. Our Governor - Jim Gibbons - has declined the invitation to meet President Obama at the plane to shake his hand. Some say it is an opportunity to tell the President what's on his mind and he shouldn't have passed it up, but I think it was a good snub. I've been wrong and what do I know anyhow. All I know is what I feel and that is agitation. The comment our President made several months ago referring to businesses coming to Las Vegas was just another nail the the Las Vegas coffin which affected many thousands of workers and many businesses here in the valley.

I think his comments were a huge slap in the face to the culinary union who supported him big time. The majority of those union workers were either laid off or their wages cut or time cut. My son works at one of the strip hotels and his time was cut. He is lucky to work two shifts a week even on a holiday weekend. But, I am sure the union still catered to him and appeared in full support when he arrived at the airport.

There were tickets on sale to see the President. What a joke! Why would I or anyone want to PAY to see our president? It should be his honor if people show up by their own desires to want to see him, why should they pay?

His primary purpose for coming to Las Vegas is to pump up support for our Senator Harry Reid, but I'm not sure his visit is going to help. I understand Senator Reid's coffers already contain some large amount of dollars. I haven't heard how the fund raiser went last night. I do know a lot of Nevadans are not happy with Senator's Reid's holier than thou attitude and the President's appearance may be a waste of time. I noticed this morning on our CBS early morning local news the clip of Senator Reid as he walked across the stage to speak, he was limping. He and many other senators are getting old, maybe it is time to put these guys out to retirement pasture and let some fresh thinkers do the jobs. Guys like Chris Dodd and other like him are the ones who are suppose to be guarding the country's business and they are the ones with their hands in the pot.

Michelle, Michelle, How Does Your Garden Grow?

I've been under the weather for a while and can't quite get my mind around all the stuff in the news with our President, so today I'll just take it easy. Ok, just a change - a tiny bit, while you all take on Obama, I'd like to say a few words about another member of the Obama family. Nothing earth shattering, but just a case of down right curiosity. I'd really like to get a gander at Michelle's garden. The last time I saw anything written about Michelle was when she wore the same dress she wore a couple of months ago to some shinding. Gee! I wouldn't have noticed if the press, who was that by the way that brought the "same dress wearing" to our attention. A fashion mortal sin to wear the same garb in such a close time frame. It was a bright flowery thing which would draw attention anyhow, no wonder they remembered what it looked like.

I am waiting for Michelle to appear at the garden's edge to plant something - it's time you know. I think the last frost has passed in D. C. so time to get those tomato plants, peppers, lettuce, etc, in the ground, and so those seeds. I wonder which part of the yard they dug up for Michelle's garden? Will there be a tour to the area to see Michelle's garden grow? I want to see her and the girls out there tending the soil and pulling the weeds like committed garden growers do. I've pulled a few weeds and canned a few fresh vegetables in my days. Hhmmmm, ain't nothing better than fresh from the garden lima beans and tomatoes. Yummy!

By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in "migration assistance" to the Palestinian refugees and "conflict victims" in Gaza .
The "presidential determination", which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States , was signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4.
Few on Capitol Hill, or in the media, took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.
Let's review...itemized list of some of Barack Obama's most recent actions since his inauguration:
His first call to any head of state, as president, was to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.
His first one-on-one television interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television.
His first executive order was to fund/facilitate abortion(s) not just here within the U. S. , but within the world, using U. S. tax payer funds.
He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.
He ordered overseas CIA interrogation centers closed.
He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and the "terror attack" on 9/11.
Now we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refuges to move to, and live in, the US at American taxpayer expense.
These important, and insightful, issues are being "lost" in the blinding bail-outs and "stimulation" packages."

Before the Obama administration leaves office, I worry how much of our freedom we will leave and what our country will represent. He was voted into office because he offered Change and he is living up to that promise in a big way. The Obama voters, I believe, were naive to say the leave.

Jeb Bush - will he lead us in the future?

There is an interesting article in the Washington Times this morning, you can read it here. Jeb Bush points out our need to move beyond the Ronald Reagan era of thinking. He also mentions adopting some of the strategies of the Obama policies for winning. I am inclined to agree with the moving on idea. We have to point our policies to what the younger voters would be dealing with as they grow older. It is a techie world and the population of this era have no clue what it was like to grow up during World War Two or even before that of the depression. The depression to the younger voters is a news clip on the CNN network as it relates to the way the Dems blame the Bush administration for the Recession.

We've been marching down the same lane for several years now. Obama and his family are young and vibrant. The girls look so normal and active which every middle class family can relate to. Michelle is out talking the talk and touching families, especially military families, and this brings in the votes. I know that talking is good, but when will the talking relate to the doing and something getting done. And, that's the rest of the story, but the people aren't looking at that, they are an impatient group and what they see is what they think they're going to get.

Take the iPod, mini computers, instant messaging, twittering - that's the group we need to fit into. Yes, I know, conservatives twit too - I am a progressive older person and I have all those techie toys, but I know in my wisdom Jeb Bush is right. We have to direct our talk to another degree. Using an old cliche - we have to think out of the box.

I love Laura Bush, Barbara Bush, and even Lady Bird Johnson - their reign as first ladies went beyond the time they spent in the White House, but I'll bet you the youngers don't even know what Lady Bird Johnson accomplished, and probably don't care unless their Texans. So in retrospect, the Republicans need to heed Jeb Bush's advice and get off their duffs and get planning.

I am having a very difficult time dealing with the news every morning of some Obama administration employee making an ass out of the United States. This morning it was Eric Holder. Yuck! he sends creepy shivers up my spine. He's another story.

Would also like to mention the loss of a great Republican - Jack Kemp. I was shocked when I read the report on my network news link early this morning. The reports state Mr. Kemp just found the cancer in January. Our prayers go out to his wife and children.

I guess that title should have gotten some attention and admittedly, I am a coward!!!! I realized that this afternoon when hubby and I sit down to watch Fox News with Bret Baier, I just couldn't take it anymore - I walked out of the room, and stayed out until the panel came on. I listened to Charles Krauthammer and that was all. I don't want to hear it - Obama this and Obama that - it's annoying that our President can't look straight into the camera and actually talk to the audience. I've wondered if he doesn't ever get a stiff neck from all the head turning.

Then this Spector deal - defector! What is wrong with these people? We're too conservative, that's not his problem, no he's afraid he'll lose the election to a Democrat, so hey, lets change parties. Oh yeah, "we're all so proud to have him in our party, Obama and Biden says." Well sure you would be, duh! It's really embarrassing to watch these boys jump ship, all for what! I sure hope the real Republicans are watching and learning something from this! Oh, and Mr. Spector, I heard there's a younger guy going to run against you in the Democratic race for Senator in Pennsylvania. Hmmm, do you have a chance against him?

We're fighting the hard fight this time around - I guess it's our payback because of Bush winning both terms for president and the Dems are now doing the La-De-Da dance and having a blast! I am giving up watching the news for Lent, oh, can't - Lent is over, well, I'll find a good reason. Maybe I'll just wait until it's Obama's 110th day in office and all the fun fare has passed.

And, another thing - I think it's funnier that anything Al Franken has ever said as a joke - our new Homeland Security Secretary has changed the name from Swine Flu to F11 or Ctrl-Atl-Delete or something alpha-numerical , how silly is that! I remember years ago when we had a situation with black birds being a huge problem for the livestock on farms in the Midwest, I don't remember the Agriculture Department giving the black birds a new title. Actually, this administration is into creating new titles for everything. We have a new title for a war that wasn't according to the Obama administration. That's so totally weird! It does take away the importance of issues that do matter, maybe that's their purpose in changing what was to what their perception is! I will say this, even though Secretary Janet A. Napolitano has changed the name of the flu but when I did a google search, I don't find any reference to the "numbers and letters" type of title to which the administration has named the Swine Flu.

Laughable? She's enjoying her spotlight too much.

Doesn't it seem like our Secretary of State is having too much fun? Notice, the people in the shot behind here aren't laughing! Odd, I don't think I have ever seen her in this state of euphoria, ever! Oh, I did see a photo of her when Chavez gave President Obama his book and they shook hands. Secretary of State Clinton was sitting right behind President Obama and she was yucking it up big time! And here she is again! Where has this new found sense of humor come from, certainly no where was this humor apparent in her appearances with her husband.

She appeared on Capitol Hill before the committee discussing Cheney and the issue of water boarding. She appears in this photo to be enjoying her point of view that she shared with the committee.

In view of her recent verbal blunders and inappropriate comments by Secretary of State Clinton, we could be forming less that acceptable opinions about her abilities to perform her duties.

The Democats have had a witch hunt on for Bush and Cheney since Bush was elected and it was inevitable today with a Democratic strong hold each and every disagreement will be brought to the surface and drug through the mud. How will we survive this ugly mess?

Why? Even on the tone, basis, organization, and presentation there was no clear cut message in that interview with Sarah Palin. Sarah came out a loser, or did she? I guess it is one of those "she said-she said" deals depending on which side of the political street you are on. Why an award for such an onerous interview with classic shenanigans and tactics of manipulation? Is this the best Ms. Couric could do? Or, is this another slam from the Left-Wing media to put down a rising star in the Republican Party. I have not watched Ms. Couric in years, have no desire to watch her, in fact after the interview with Governor Palin I have absolutely no respect for Katie Couric as an interviewer.

It was reported there were questions about abortion rights and Couric would not accept any answer Governnor Palin gave since she was against abortion. Ms. Couric attempted to manipulate Governor Palin's answers but to no avail.

Our country is sadly divided - Media Right and Left. It's not getting any better. President Obama promised he'd work with both sides, no he won't and hasn't. But, there are some Republicans who have forgotten their roots as well, what are we going to do. Elections in 2012 is our day of reckoning.

As for now, we have to deal with the absurdities of the media that put value on a low-life interview of no merit, and we need to move on and strive for better results. Governor Sarah Palin has not let the media do her in, even as they persecute her family and continue to discuss the problems of her daughter and the baby, and other private matters. I know it is not uncommon in this day and age, but is there nothing sacred?

Governor Sarah Palin is the one who should be receiving the Cronkite media award for enduring the poor interviewing tactics of a professional.

The Pizza Man cometh

I know there are many more important issues to discuss, but I wanted to be easy and not so aggressive since this is Holy Saturday and I do need to be nice, really I do. This pizza and White House story is just too big for me to ignore.

First of all, I have to disclose that I know someone who knows the chefs and cooks at the White House very well. In fact, he has sent me photos of some of the staff. Being aware of that business, I know they HAVE to be good at their jobs, I know the background of their training and the competition they go through to keep their job. Remember when Hilliary and Bill came to office, I think Hilliary pretty well cleared everyone out - not so with Michelle. We've all see photos where she is right there in the kitchen with the chefs.

However, when the pizza man Pi came to town with his cheese, special sauce and selected dough packed away in his suitcase, my thought wondered right away how the chef and cooks felt with a new cook in their kitchen. As for me, I'm personally very protective of my cooking space! But, of course, President Obama is their boss, and the team is the top of the line and they are the best in their career. There's none better than those who take care of the President - as it should be! I am sure they relinquished their space but pitched right in and helped where they could - that's protocol.

When I first heard the hoopla on Fox News (it's the only cable news network we watch) the reports were President Obama's choice to pick a pizza man from St. Louis rather than hometown Chicago. There will always be differences of opinion as to where the best pizza maker is, whether its from Philly, St. Louis and Chicago, and New York too. So, President Obama selected a guy named Pi from St. Louis to make pies for his friends last night. I'm not Italian but in southern Ohio we were friends with a LOT of Italians and do have lots of Italian friends today, and I love pizza - especially from Metro Pizza here. But, a guy named Pi? I checked out his website, it looks rather oriental to me - but you be the judge, here's the link. The pizza as per President Obama judgement is very good. I would like to get a poll of opinions from the Pizza Party attendees too.

Well, it was Good Friday for us Catholics and for those that were observing - we don't eat meat on Good Friday. It seemed sort of odd to me after celebrating Passover Seder with the Jewish community on Thursday he would be respectful of the Catholics, couldn't he have put the Pizza Party off one night but oh well, that's just my thinking.

Here's another interesting website I found here - I didn't know existed. It is a web page with all the things President Obama likes, for example, arugula, ick! I wonder if someone created a page of likes and dislikes for President George Bush and Laura - I would be more interested in their food preference especially since President Bush does his entertaining via his bar-b-ques!

My post is shallow today, talking about a pizza man named Pi making pizza for a guy named Obama. I'm not suggesting that Pi's pizza aren't good, because there's some good food in St. Louis, but its an ironic contradiction in my Polish, Irish, German opinion.

Yesterday on various news spots there were clips and interviews, comments and opinions about Presiden Bush, VP Cheney by both Presiden Obama, and VP Biden. President Bush couldn't have been nicer to then incoming President Obama as President Bush showed Obama around the White House, included the children and Michelle in several events, and even included Obama in internal matters of business. I personally think President Bush went the extra mile, and in my humble opinion, he wasn't required to but he did so for our country's security.

So why now is Obama and Biden bashing Cheney and Bush? What do they have to gain? The election is over - Obama won! Didn't he? It stresses me out thinking about this mess. Having occasional CRS situations and a lot of age 65 grey matter doesn't help me as I trying to assimilate facts or rationalize how a Democrat may be thinking. Although, that action might fry my brain so perhaps I shouldn't try to think like a Democrat! It occurred to me, perhaps could all this continuance of Bush bashing be a prelude to the 2012 elections? Or, perhaps, could it be President Obama REALLY didn't get the acceptance and recognitions from the leaders at the G20 that he expected?

With regard to the idea of the 2012, you know the Dems are going to have BIG plans for demonizing the Republicans before the election even begins. Pretty soon we'll begin to get the "hats in the ring" for serious runners for the seats in Congress, then the bashing will begin. The well-being and the financial state of our country will set the primary tone for how the Dems will attack. Back to Bush, since he was "supposed" to be the main reason the Democrats won the 2000 election, the Dems don't want the people to forget how "bad" he was, and remind them they don't want another Bush character in any capacity running the government. That's my opinion for one reason they are attacking President Bush and VP Cheney.

President Obama put on his best smile and wore his best clothes to impress everyone on his trip abroad. I noticed he could turn on the smile in a second - and I wondered what the conversation might have been in that split second or if a smile was warranted as a reaction or just for the publicity. Was he being judged for his beautiful teeth and Cheshire Cat expression?

We only heard the MSM's opinion of the aura of the crowds - yes, there was a big turnout in the public appearances, but for the sake of special events, isn't that normal for celebrities, and we all know President Obama is a celebrity. No one can really know what the leaders were thinking and what their opinions of President Obama were - let's face it, every one of the attendees were putting on their best face to impress the other leaders. They were probably too concerned with their own country's well-being than fussing over newcomer President Obama. So, thus brings me to this opinion, IF he wasn't accepted as a Rock Star by the leaders of the countries presiding at the G-20 - accepted as he has been here in the U. S. then of course, it is President George Bush's fault.

President Obama will not take responsibility or accept any other reasonable explanation. He is the One, or so HE thinks. He hasn't accepted the Real One as the Father or the Messiah, in my humble opinion, because if he really in his heart believes in God, then he would be a humble man. His decisions would not be for his benefit. His conceit will be his defeat. Self-serving and blaming when in defeat will begin to show its ugly head after a time. There are some who will never understand this and will forever support him. But, I believe there is a reason for all things. We have been too lax our respect for God, we have allowed the movie mongols and music producers to get by with murder. Only a few have made their voices heard to fight but the masses have stood by. We may not have monetarily supported those businesses, but we have not stopped them.

The news of the Freedom of Children's Act; the recent Eminem video depicting Governor Sarah Palin in a vulgar way; stem cell research; and on and on. The value of life is disintegrating. Our freedoms are being snacked away. Even the facts of Christianity in our Declaration of Independence is being scrutinized. We must make a stand. President Bush may not have made all the right choices, but he respected life and God was his Guiding Light. We need to look ahead a prepare for what the Democrats will try to force on us. I feel sad for my grandchildren because they are the ones who will have to endure what the Obamas and the Democrats do to our Country.

Another good opinion I read this morning was United Conservatives Virginia - here. It was very interesting and created an awareness in areas I hadn't ventured. Please check it out.

I wondered this morning as I contemplated what I would write and how I felt about our country, then I realized the possibility if President Obama so desired he could mandate that my writing and all the other conservative writings be banned. We've read this opinion in other blogs recently but months ago, who would have thought this possible. President Obama has swept into control of our government so quickly, we just didn't see it coming.

How does he and his cohorts get away with it? How can he legally decline taking money from a bank who is PAYING OFF their stimulus loan? Why aren't more people alarmed and doing something about it? He didn't win the election by a popular vote. Where is the outrage - are people so surprised? Shocked?

Is it out of our hands now? Will ACORN play a big part in our census to control the voting districts? What choice do we have..........

Obama declares US not at war with Islam

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) - Barack Obama, making his first visit to a Muslim nation as president, declared Monday the United States "is not and will never be at war with Islam."

Calling for a greater partnership with the Islamic world in an address to the Turkish parliament, Obama called the country an important U.S. ally in many areas, including the fight against terrorism. He devoted much of his speech to urging a greater bond between Americans and Muslims, portraying terrorist groups such as al Qaida as extremists who did not represent the vast majority of Muslims. "America's relationship with the Muslim world cannot and will not be based on opposition to al Qaida," he said. "We seek broad engagement based upon mutual interests and mutual respect."

The U.S. president is trying to mend fences with a Muslim world that felt it had been blamed by America for the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Al Jazeera and Al Arabiyia, two of the biggest Arabic satellite channels, carried Obama's speech live.

"We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over so many centuries to shape the world for the better, including my own country," Obama said.

My husband wants to know.............

My husband is outside my office window trimming the shrubs. When I opened the window to say "howdy!" he made a horrid face and said "the next time you blog, I want you to ask why people aren't more upset about Obama bowing down to the Saudi Arabia king and why is he apologizing for the behavior of Americans?" I can see my husband now as he makes his way back past my window, and he is still talking to himself. He is angry! He is outraged!

He served proudly in the Air Force and has worked in government service for most our marriage. Our son served in the Army and now our grandson is serving. I've had lots of Aunts and Uncles who have served and one lost his life during W. W. II. My husband believes Obama's actions are a slap in the face to every military person and citizen of this United States.

Why would we put up with such hypocrisy in President Obama's actions? He is not a good example of a true citizen of our country. Both he and Michelle have ideas and beliefs that are not in line with what our founding fathers set for us as Americans, yet they get away with overwhelmingly fawning results. Cheers and glad tidings from Americans who don't seem to know the difference. It's almost like it must be true or okay just because he does it or says it.

The man, Obama, went gun-ho making the changes he wanted only to surprised us, to catch us off guard, because once we woke up, it would be too late, the changes would be made and we would be in too deep. A good example telling our Congress to get the bills sign by Friday because he wanted it done quickly - they didn't even read what they were signing. He waited four days later to pick up the bills on his desk. He was in such a huge hurry! Yeah right! He was fooling them all! He didn't want them to read the ridiculous bills he put in for their approval. He's shrewd. He's smart. He is cunning. He is ruining our country. We will never be the same - change, big time change is a-coming. Unless someone does something.

You have got to be kidding! I can't believe the man who says he is President of the USA, as a guest of another country, makes excuses - and made up excuses at that! Pointing the finger and saying I looked down on my European friends. Sorry, Mr. Obama, but I don't know who you are talking about when you say we Americans have done that sort of things. We have troops in Germany incase you have forgotten and I know for a fact many of our soldiers enjoy their German counterparts very well. And, if you haven't noticed, Mr. Obama, many of us are of European descent. Where are you from, Mr. Obama? Ah, have we seen your real and authentic birth certificate....yet? Who's writing your speeches these days? I think you ought to find a new speech writer because you are getting a lot of bad ratings on the ideas you are pushing.

I don't know where we are going in this country when the man who has been elected President cow-tows up to an audience just for the sake of popularity. It's not a confident person certainly, he must have one thing on his mind and that's his popularity and not the people of the United States of America, well, maybe he's out to help only his little clique perhaps.

We told you, I knew it. I am not impressed with this man. It's going to get worse before it gets better. Republicans, I hope you get your act together, you can do it - you did it with Newt, and you can do it again! We need you NOW before we become the laughing stock of the whole world. And we are no longer the leaders of the world.

Are the Obama's rewriting the rules of Political Protocol?

Yesterday we had the unusual touchie feelie salutation when Michelle gave the Queen a hug and out of respect, the Queen reciprocated. I have wondered for some time and as it was written this couple has no experience in real politics, except on the inside of Chicago. I am sure there is someone in the White House who has "the book" on do and don't for formal events and meetings. Haven't they been doing their job to educate the Obama's? Or, has the Obama's position in the world given them the presence of mind they are invincible and can break the rules on the basis of being friendly at their whim?

The news is the G-20 seems to have been a success. President Obama has been accepted. The old hardliner Bush is out. I think of a fairytale of the inexperienced handsome young man that comes to town mesmerizing his followers with his smile and stories. He empowers others to believe he knows more than anyone else and he believes he can form the world into his oyster and everyone will love him. His followers bow down and kiss his feet because they have been waiting for a young and handsome man with a beautiful smile to follow, someone to take the place of a rancher guy with a Texan accent with a beautiful educated wife, but the Texan wasn't like the people of the land. They thought the new man in town had their qualities, or so they thought. It was later realized that if the people didn't follow him, he'll pass a law to punish them. The leaders of Russia and North Korea are more cunning than all and President Obama may find his mesmerizing illusion smashed into a million pieces.

I copied this cartoon from Townhall.com - thought it was applicable to what our future may look like. I've heard about Government being in your back pocket, but I guess now we'll have President Obama in the seat next to us.

Brent Bozell has a good article on Townhall here. He writes about polls. It has always amazed me how the opinions I read about or hear from TV stations like CNN seem to be so unanimously opposite of mine. I know I can't be that far off when in reality I know if I think a certain way about something, without searching long and hard I find someone else with the same view. How easy is it to slant the opinions of those who succumb to polls? I know it depends on which newspaper or website is asking - conservative or liberal.

For the past few days, I can't get it together. My emotions and disappointments are all over the place. I don't understand, can't accept, and I am just plain confused. I read the blogs, newspapers, editorials and listen to the news, but I just don't get it. What does this man Obama have that is so enchanting and spiritual to make women and men swoon? Yes, he has a great smile - is that it? He seems to be so mesmerizing to the point of obsession which relates to why he can say anything and it is acceptable. Do people really listen, or do they understand what he is saying? I am not taken in by him or his speeches and having said that - I feel like I am standing on the outside fringes of the world since Democrats and Republicans, alike, seem to think he gives the greatest speeches, and I don't. I just don't think he is eloquent - but I am just a Republican, retired person, and a wife and grandchild caretaker.

Drudgereport.com has on it's internet page today the report of the Obama trip to Europe. I am fascinated and I wonder if this is typical for a Presidential trip overseas. Both President Obama and Michele are taking their own chefs. There are at least 500 people traveling with the Presidential team, in addition to his armoured car and a few helicopters. What cost is this from our taxpayers account? Is this necessary? I can understand bringing his physician and a small hospital support, of course, we want our President taken care of by his own for our protection.
The whole picture all together seems excessive and far from the humble man he'd like us to believe he is. Is this typical?

Which makes me think about his family - I am confused too - he has an aunt living illegally in the U. S. - the one he specifically made a point of mentioning fondly in his book. And, his half-brother reportedly has cholera. It's reported he doesn't want to get mixed up with the politics of his poor aunt - but it's family, and for anyone who is painting the picture of Mr. Nice Guy, ignoring your family to me is unreal and, well, I'm not going to write exactly what I think except I wouldn't want him as one of my relatives. I wonder if he's done anything to help out his half-brother with any medical assistance. These may be minor issues to President Obama compared to running a country, but my family is the most important issue in my life and I judge the value of a man on his dedication to that whole family.

Another subject listed on Drudge Report is about housing prices dropping. The homes in our area have dropped at least $100,000.00. That's a lot of bucks, don't you think? We will be putting our house up for sale soon and we know what we could have gotten last year - but if we stay here and buy in the Las Vegas area the cost of the purchase will be less as well. It really was time for prices to go down. Couples couldn't afford a home unless both worked. I was a stay at home mom while my children were small and when they were able to manage, then I took part time jobs. Once they were on their own then I worked full time and went to college at night. We had the bare necessities, but we managed. The prices on big ticket items weren't as uneven in comparison to job wages as they are today. My son is living with us because on the salary he makes, raising a daughter without support from the child's mother, he can't afford to rent or buy anything at today's prices. He would have to go on Welfare but he makes too much to qualify - he's caught in between and he doesn't make a lot of money at that. It's a no win - we do need to have some equality in pay and commodities and our necessities.

Finally, this report is also in today's Drudge Report about VP Biden and his daughter's problems with drugs. It looks like she was trapped and filmed by a so-called friend as she was doing cocaine. The guy was a real jerk, but its her fault regardless for being a drug addict. I do feel sorry for VP Biden and his wife and that's admitting a lot from me because I am not a fan. As a parent and one who is devoted to family as I know he is, I know this incident of his daughter has really hurt him. It's a shame! All of us who have children know there are times are kids are going to do stupid things but when it happens to someone like VP Biden it makes for bad press.

I'd like to share one more event and that is our Soldier has arrived back safely on USA soil from serving one year in Iraq. He is safe and sound at the Army base now enjoying all the freedoms we enjoy. He is ecstatic that he doesn't have to carry his rifle everyday. He can breath clean air. The cost of freedom protected by our wonderful military. Thank you for your commitment! And, welcome home! We love you. God bless.

I found this article about Hilliary Clinton on her trip to Mexico and receiving an award. the receipt of the award and the place she is receiving it is contradictory to the environment of where the ceremony is taken place as well as the purpose of the award.

Unfortunately, our Secretary of State Clinton is oblivious to customs and formalities of the Catholic Church and the meanings of our traditions or any Christian values perhaps. For the purpose of their acceptance of abortion and unacceptable numerous stem cell issues, I pray dilligently for the conversion of President Obama and his staff to have a change of attitude and belief in many issues which just might bring about a turn of events to a more positive effect for our Country rather than the difficulties we are encountering now.

Patriotic retirement: There are about 40 million people over 50 years old in the work force - pay them $1 million apiece severance with stipulations.

1) They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.

2) They buy NEW American cars. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.

3) They either buy a house/pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.

4) They buy stock. Voila! The stock market rebounds with no help from the Feds.

President Obama speaking at Notre Dame

Recently I have been keeping tabs on this news item regarding whether or not President Obama will be speaking to the graduating class of Notre Dame University as per invitation by the administration. There is a petition going around on the internet at this address as well as the university to keep President Obama from speaking at the Catholic university.

I voiced my opinion that I do not want him to have the priviledge of speaking at a Catholic University because of his heretic views on life. He should not be grated such a grand greeting and rewarded for his views on Abortion and extended stem cell processes. It is time Catholics and for that matter all Christians stand up for their values.
